Our services
Microsuction
The gold standard of ear wax removal. A fine, gentle suction tube clears the ear canal under magnification — no water, no mess, and suitable for most patients.

Warm Water Irrigation
A carefully controlled flow of warm water gently flushes stubborn wax from the ear canal. Comfortable, effective, and a tried-and-trusted method of ear wax removal.

Your appointment

Prepare with olive oil (if you can)
We recommend applying olive oil to each ear twice a day for 2–3 days before your appointment. This softens the wax and makes removal easier and more comfortable.
We come to you
We will travel to your home for the agreed time with all the equipment needed to carry out your treatment safely — there's nothing you need to prepare beyond a comfortable place to sit.
Ear examination
We'll use an otoscope to examine your ear canal before any treatment begins, so we can assess the wax and help you decide which treatment is right for you.
Gentle wax removal
Using either microsuction or warm water irrigation, we will gently and carefully remove the wax. Your comfort always comes first — the appointment is relaxed and unhurried.
Aftercare advice
Once treatment is done, we'll talk you through how to look after your ears going forward and answer any questions. Most patients notice an immediate improvement in their hearing.

Your questions, answered
What is ear wax?
Ear wax (or cerumen) is a perfectly normal secretion of the ear canal. It is an important part of our ears’ function, as it provides natural protection against bacteria, water, dust and other foreign bodies.
Our ears are self-cleaning so small amounts of wax do work their way out of the ear naturally. However, a build-up of excess ear wax can occur and impact hearing, which is when professional ear wax removal is required.
What are the symptoms of impacted ear wax?
Common signs include hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, earache, or a feeling of fullness in the ear.
Do I need to do anything before the appointment?
It is highly recommended to use olive oil drops or spray for 2–3 days prior to the appointment to soften the wax, making the procedure quicker and more comfortable.
Does ear wax removal hurt?
Professional earwax removal is generally painless, though it may feel uncomfortable, ticklish, or noisy, especially with suction methods.
